My Time Made Easy Preview Day 1 - Trendy Turtle

Hello friends!  Today begins the previews for the My Time Made Easy June release!  And it's all camping related!  Today we are revealing the new template called Trendy Turtle.  Where is the turtle, you ask?  Well the MTME templates can be used in many different ways, and that's half the fun!  Today, I just made the shell of the turtle (you can see Lauren and some of the other girls' full turtles!).  For the base I used Dusty Durango cardstock and paired it with one of the new digital paper packs being released called Smore Smores.  (I was just eating smores this weekend...yummo!)  I tied up the "shell" with some chocolate satin ribbon.  There are so many things you can put into this.  It's quite roomy!

For the card, I took one of the hexagons and increased the size, made two of them, then welded them together using the SCAL program and cut it out.  I made a mat with the digital paper by sizing it down.  The sentiment is from a set being released this month called So Much S'more. (Are you seeing the theme here?)  I punched it out with a Marvy punch and added a bling flourish.

Stop by these blogs for more inspiration.

The release will be on June 1st and I'll have more for you then.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Pretty Palette #62 - My Time Made Easy

Are you enjoying your weekend?  We are having fun at our cabin!  Great weather too!

We have new colors for our Pretty Palette challenge and I really think you'll like them!

I really like these colors together.  The paper is from DeLovely by Cosmo Cricket.  It had the pink and turquoise in it I needed.  Then I cut the flower out using the My Bee Loved cut file and stamped it with the coordinating stamp.  I used copic markers to color the flower, from Bee Loved stamp set, and added star dust stickles in the center.  The sentiment is from Sentimental Occasions.  That panel was cut with the deckled rectangle nestie.  I added the crystal flourish from Want to Scrap.  Pretty easy card!

Stop by these blogs to see more inspiration using these fun colors.
Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your weekend!

Just Us Girls #138 - Photo Inspiration Challenge **New**

Happy Saturday and Happy Memorial Day weekend!  I hope you are enjoying your holiday weekend.  We are changing things up a bit over at Just Us Girls.  We have decided to retire our 3D/Template challenge and replace it with a Photo Inspiration challenge.  We hope you enjoy this type of challenge.  You can go wherever your inspiration takes you!  Vicki has chosen some great pictures to get you crafting.  I love today's...blue and brown are some of my favorite colors!
I took the colors, the stripes and the teddy bear from the inspiration photo.  The pattern on cake reminded me of this retired SU paper called Parisian Breeze.   I stamped the teddy bear on one of the patterns in chocolate chip ink.  The image is from Baby Button Bits by PTI.  The sentiments are from Bitty Baby Blessings, also from PTI.  The doily is from a Martha Stewart pack.

The sketch is from Taylored Expressions.  I guess they are discontinuing their sketches.  Bummer, because I've always loved their sketches.  But there are a lot of sketch challenges out there (on of them at JUGs!).

You can see what the JUGs design team did with this inspiration photo at these blogs:

Pretty Palette #61

Happy Sunday everyone!  I'm here this week with a new color challenge from the Pretty Palette challenge.  These colors are just so me!

I used this new cut file from My Time Made Easy called Vintage Cars.  This is one of two that come with the cut file.  I cut it using my Cricut and some chocolate chip cardstock.  The dp is from SU called Elegant Soire, and I'm sure it's retired.  The green panel was embossed with a circular folder, in keeping with the dp.  The ribbon is chocolate chip grosgrain.  The sentiment is from the Sign It stamp set.  I stamped it in chocolate chip ink on vanilla cardstock.  I cut it our with a flag die and added some brown pearls.

You can see more inspiration (and link your creation) on the MTME blog and on Romaine Rancier's blog.    Thanks for stopping by today!

Just Us Girls #137 - Color Challenge

Hi there!  Are you happy it's Saturday?  I sure am!  The weather is going to be just fabulous this weekend, so I'm hoping to get to our cabin either tonight or tomorrow.  Can't wait to just sit outside and take in the warm weather!

This week over at Just Us Girls, I'm the hostess for the color challenge.  I chose this fun and fresh blue, white, and yellow color combo.  I hope you enjoy it!

I did another CAS card!  I have to admit that I forgot it was my week to hostess!  (It's been quite a busy week!)   Anyway, I pulled out this fabulous new (to me) paper from October Afternoon called Sidewalks.  My friend Cheryl gave it to me, and I just love the colors in it!  The felt flower and leaves are from My Favorite Things, the flag die is from WPlus9, and the sentiment is from Scattered Showers Additions by Papertrey Ink.  Love that sentiment!  I stamped it in Versafine Onyx Black ink.  That is my favorite ink for sentiments or intricate stamps.  It stamps like a dream!

Here's the sketch from Clean and Simple I used.

The girls have done a fabulous job once again with these colors.  Visit these blogs and see for yourself!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a fabulous weekend!

Pretty Palette #60

Happy Mother's Day everyone!  We are at our cabin with our family today relaxing, eating, relaxing, eating!  LOL!!  I'm sure we are having fun!  I hope you are enjoying your day!

Today I have a new Pretty Palette color challenge.  I kinda like this color combo!

I have been in love with this image from the recently released Dad's Day to Relax digital stamp set from My Time Made Easy from the first time I saw it!   I've always loved VW Beetles, and this orange one reminds me of my first car.  It was an orange Camaro!  I loved that car, but got lots of ribbing because it was orange.  I love orange!  Anyway, back to the card.  I colored the car with copics and added Crystal Effects to the windows.  The paper is Basic Grey's Marakesh.  The ribbon is from my stash of ribbon.  I think it came from AC Moore.

I used this sketch from Card Patterns.  Great sketch!

You can see more samples using this color combination from our design team at these blogs.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Mother's Day!

Just Us Girls #136 - Technique Challenge

Happy Saturday!  Any Mother's Day plans this weekend?  I'm taking my mom shopping today for some clothes she wants.  Always easier when you buy them what they want!

Today begins a new challenge from Just Us Girls, and our very talented and creative Lynn is our hostess for the technique challenge.  She has chosen generation stamping.  That's where you ink up your stamp once and continue stamping to get lighter colors.  Gina K just did a video on this technique the other day that you can see here.

So here's what I came up with.  I chose this butterfly from Discover Your Wings stamp set from Taylored Expressions.  I stamped it in Old Olive and just continued stamping two more times and got these two other lovely colors from one inking.  The sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip.  I added some brown pearls and mounted the circle on a chocolate scalloped circle.  The dp is called Madeline from Prima.  I punched the doily scalloped border and added some twine and button.

The sketch is from this week's Deconstructed Sketches.  Loved this one!

You can see more samples using the generation stamping technique at these blogs.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope to see your creations over at our JUGs blog!

Got {ippity} Floral Fun Blog Hop!

Maria Levine's Got {ippity}'s design team are hopping today with a floral fun blog hop!  I hope you can join in on the fun.  If you came here from Maria's blog you are in the right place.

This is what I came up with for this fun floral blog hop.  I used this cute little girl from the Time for Friends and Wine set.  I stamped it on sticky back canvas and colored it with copic markers.  It was cut with a nestie.  I then sponged some tea dye ink around the canvas while still in the die.  The sentiment is from Fabulous Girl.  I used this pretty paper called Sidewalks from October Afternoon.  My good stamping friend, Cheryl, gave it to me for my birthday!  I added this pretty flower that Maria gave me.  The whole card was actually designed around it.  I added some yellow candy dots in the upper right corner for balance.

I used this week's sketch from Sweet Sunday.  I haven't played in this challenge for a while and was glad to be able to today!

Maria is offering a random prize for this hop.  The winner will be chosen on Friday, May 11.  She also has some fun news about a guest designer for June's blog hop.  Check out the details on her blog.  You can also stop by Maria's Facebook Fan page for more information.  You can order {ippity} stamps from Maria by going to the Unity website and choosing Maria as your {ippity} girl!

Now here is the lineup for the blog hop.  I hope you can hop with us!  See you soon!

Pretty Palette #59

Happy Sunday!  We have new colors this week over at the Pretty Palette challenge.  They are based on the Regal Round Up digital paper pack from My Time Made Easy and are very regal!

I chose to make a very simple card (I was running late on time!).  I used two new stamp sets from MTME.  The anchors are from Seas the Day and the sentiment from Seas the Day Sentiments.  I colored the anchors in GIMP using the colors from the Regal Round Up paper.  I added some hearts from The Gingersnaps digital stamp set, and just sized them differnetly.  The words "anchor" and "stormy" were also recolored to match the colors in the paper.  Then I used a Spellbinders tag die and "anchored" it with some brads.  It needs something, like a scalloped edge or something.  But for a CAS card, I think it works ok!

Check out what the design team did with these colors at these blogs.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

My Time Made Easy - A Year in Review

Happy Friday everyone!  I'm off to Syracuse this weekend with my best friend Maria.  We are going to visit our friend Nancy and go on a wine tasting tour in the Finger Lakes with her and a bunch of her friends.  It should be a fun weekend!

But today I'm here showing off my Year in Review post for My Time Made Easy.  Did you see the new products released this month?  Some fabby stuff.  I'm using one of them on my project today.  This template is The Flapper sized down to 70% of its original size.  This template is really big, like many of the MTME templates are, and I love being able to size them down to smaller sizes.

I cut out the pieces of the template with cardstock printed with the Tapestry Trends digital paper.  It's tied closed with some yellow ribbon and adorned with a crown cut with the new The King's Crown cut file.  I added some silver pearls to bling it up a bit.

The 4x4" card is made from the same elements as the template.  The sentiment is from the Well Rounded digital stamp set.  I just cut a banner and added the sentiment.

Here is a picture of what's on the inside of the box.  It was sized perfectly to fit two personal size bottles of antibacterial hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works.  This was a happy coincidence...they fit PERFECTLY in there!

The entire team is posting today, so make sure you go to the following blogs to check everyone's out everyone's stuff!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great weekend!

My Time Made Easy Post Release Day - Blue Collar

Gosh, this month over at My Time Made Easy is so exciting!  There are so many cool templates to choose from and they are all easy to put together!  This one included!  It's called Blue Collar and it's the shape of a shirt!  How cool is that!  And it's roomy too.  I'll show you that in a little bit.

Here's the closeup of the template.  I started with my paper from the new Vintage Points Bright digital paper pack.  I paired it with Basic Gray cardstock.  Love these colors together!  I added some buttons to the collar to make it look like a button down and in the shirt pocket I added some paper to make it look like a handkerchief in it.  I also added some orange circles to the tie to match the tie on the card!

This box and card are going to be for my father-in-law for Father's Day.  He always uses cotton handkerchiefs, so I always buy him a pack of them for holidays.  This pack contained nine of them, and they all fit into the box.

The card uses the same paper, scaled down a bit.  The image and sentiment are both from the new digital stamp set called Dad's Day to Relax.  I colored the tie in GIMP to match the paper.  The Happy Father's Day sentiment is stacked in the set, but I digitally cut it apart and made it linear so I could used this Spellbinder's die to cut it out.

The layout is based on this one from Card Positioning Systems.
Some of the design team is posting today, so stop by their blogs listed below to see what awesome things they've done with the new MTME products.

My Time Made Easy Release Day Group Post - Blooming Wonderful Ideas!

Hi everyone!  I'm going to give a warning that there are a bunch of pictures in this post because I had so many Blooming Wonderful Ideas!  So grab a cup and settle in!

Today is release day over at My Time Made Easy!  There are a bevvy of products being released today.  Yesterday and Sunday you saw the Treasured and Blue Collar templates.  Today we also have the Blooming Wonderful Box template to show you.  We also have four digital stamp sets and lots of beautiful digital papers too!  My projects today only use the Blooming Wonderful Box template because I did these a while ago for a stamping event I went to this past Saturday.  But they are pretty nontheless!

So here are two of the seven I made for my friends at the stamping event.  Aren't they stinkin' cute?  The template is so easy to cut and assemble.  I just added some paper, ribbon, and punched butterflies and was done!

Here are two more.  I made two of each of these four designs.

Here's a picture of the top.  I was trying to find something to put inside the template and originally came up with a votive candle.  Then at the last minute, I found a bottle of bath salts that seemed to be made for this template!  And the happy accident was that when tied, the top of the bottle became the center of the flower!

You can see it better in this photo.  Stinkin' cute again, huh?  And I love the little ladybug hanging out on one of the petals!

Here is the bottle of bath salts that fit perfectly inside the template.

In addition to the template, I found these 3x3" boxes of tissues at the Target dollar spot.  I decided to cover them to match the Blooming Wonderful Box.  Cute, huh?  I followed the directions for a tissue box cover my friend Diane Zechman designed.  You can find the tutorial over at Splitcoast Stampers here.  I just sized it down to fit my mini box.

The one above and this one were my favorites of the bunch!

And here is my Blooming Wonderful flower garden!  I think they were a big hit (at least I hope so!).

The entire team is posting today, so you don't want to miss any of it because there are some pretty amazing projects to be seen.  Here are the links to the blogs you'll want to visit.

Thanks for sticking with me on this long post!  Don't forget to view the new products at MTME!  Click, download, and start crafting!
