A My Time Package for Candy

Happy Saturday, everyone! The My Time challenge that Lauren gave us today is to create a package for candy. I made the package, but I have to confess that I didn't buy the candy for it...I've lost some weight recently and I do not have the will power to NOT eat the candy if it's in my house! I bought some candy as a prop for another project I did a couple of weeks ago and ate the WHOLE BAG!!! So no candy for this project! Please just pretend it's inside! I used Lauren's Tucked Away template for this. Imagine all the pretty candy that would fit inside! The base of the box is so saffron and the dp is SU's Pawsitively Prints (from the Holiday Mini). I just love that soft gingham print. The ribbon is also so saffron grosgrain. Now for the flower on top. I used the daisy die cut from SU and sponged some so saffron ink on the edges of each petal. I curled the ends for more interest. The leaves are also a SU die in certainly celery. The button is PTI. I would just love to receive this full of candy...wouldn't you? These templates are so fun to make and so pretty to give and receive!

Now you must stop by the blogs of the My Time DT to see their candy packages. They never disappoint.

If you decide to play our challenge, please post your direct link to Mr. Linky on Lauren's blog. If you post to SCS please use the keyword MTTC06. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you enjoy your weekend!

Oh Lisa...I'm still laughing right now :O) I love that we are pretending the candy is inside to save your waistline! Ha ha ha. Whatever it takes, girlie! Oh, and you made me sit here and realize, crap! I ate 1/3 of the bag of candy I bought for my project! I see how this works. Maybe I should buy fake candy for staging purposes :O) LOL

Your box is BEAUTIFUL! So fresh and lovely. That gingham print is awesome (I need it...have to go back and order), and love that saffron ribbon. The flower on top is my favorite! Love the curled layers and the leaves underneath! I might need to buy that also :( You can send your pretend candy to me! I'll happily fill it and eat it!

Hey Lisa - I am SO with you on the candy thing... if you see my project you'll chuckle when I tell you I ate one whole "petite tucked away" box full before I was done making all these. (over a few days) Once I put the labels on I was OK though - somehow that was hands off to each one that had the thankful label :-) I love your box - the colors, the gingham is so soft and appealing and the flower on top is gorgeoso! Love the turned up leaves. A homerun out of the park with this candy box - with or without the candy :-) Hugs to you.

This is gorgeous. It has such a nice summer in the country feel to it. I can just imagine it filled with hard candies that my grandma would have on display. So pretty.

This is a beautiful box for non existing candy. Way to go on the weight loss. I have been doing that too. My hubby brings home a huge bag of candy corn..Ugh.. I love that stuff and it is so seasonal. But I am determined..Good luck.
