Artful INKables Blog Hop and Release Day!

Hi everyone! Happy President's Day! Hope you are enjoying your day off (if you are lucky enough to have the day off)! I'm home for the whole week! I so need it!

Well, today is the Artful INKables release of three new sets and a new mini set, which is something new for AI. I'm the last stop on the hop, so you should have seen some great examples of the new sets! You should have come here from the super talented Sherry's blog. If not, head on over to the AI blog so you don't miss out on the entire hop!

I'm sharing a card using my favorite set of the new release called "Any Birdy Home?" I adore birdhouses, so when Kristin showed us the sets, I knew I had to have this one!

I couldn't decide which of the three birdhouses in this set to use because they are all so cute! I decided on this one because it fit the sketch I wanted to use! I started with this great Basic Grey paper, Marrakech, and paired it with SU's retired Good Morning Sunshine dp and Pacific Point cardstock. Such pretty colors, don't you think?

I hope you enjoyed our hop today! Now hop over to the AI store and take a look at the entire sets...it's quite a release. Something for everyone!

Thanks for stopping in and hopping with us! Have a great day!

A Charming Hop with Artful INKables!

We hope you are enjoying our Artful INKables Charming Hop! If you've come from Deb's blog, you are on the right track. If not, start at the Artful INKables blog to get the details and follow this "Charming Hop"! The premise of this hop is to showcase the variety of beautiful charms Artful INKables has and to reacquaint you with some of the wonderful stamps in the AI inventory.

I have chosen Greek Gardens to share with you today. I can honestly say that I really like this set. I puchased it a while back and just love the images and sentiments in it. I especially like this sentiment. I wish the photo would show how much green I put on the vase. It is so washed out on it here in the picture. I also put star dust stickles on the water. I paired this image with a beautiful butterfly charm. Here is a closeup of the charm.I love the detail on this pretty charm! I just put a jump ring on it and attached it to the ribbon with embroidery floss. The sketch is from this week's Card Positioning System sketch (CPS).

So, to continue on this Charming Hop, please head on over to Michelle's blog. She always has something amazing to share! There will be a prize giveaway at the end of the hop, but you need to leave a comment on the blogs along the way in order to be entered into the random.org drawing. So, don't forget to leave some nice comments for the AI DT.

Thanks for stopping in today! I hope you enjoyed your Charming Hop!

Artful INKables Blog Hop and Release Day!

Can you believe it's another release day for Artful INKables? We are showcasing the new sets being released today with another blog hop, so if you are arriving here from Jackie Rakoski's blog, you are on the right track. If not, start at the Artful INKables blog which is the beginning of the hop.

I'm sharing a great set that is geared toward Valentine's Day (yes, I said Valentine's Day!), but it can be used for a variety of other occasions. It's called Love Ya Lots.

I was thinking all day about how I was going to do this card. This stamp is a very solid line image that if stamped in black ink would be more like a silhouette, which would look very cool. I wanted it to be more soft and feminine, so I took out my water color crayons, water color paper, and mister. I colored the flower in two shades of pink and the stem and leaves in two shades of green. Then I spritzed it with water and stamped it on the paper. I love this look! It's just so soft and pretty! It was then cut and embossed with the Labels Four die and I cut and embossed another larger one in black. The dp is Eva from Basic Grey and the pink card stock is Pink Pirouette. I added the sentiment, pewter Kaiser pearls, and the pink satin ribbon.

So do you want to see more of the new releases? Hop over to
Emily Niehaus's blog to continue on the hop. Thanks for stopping in today and enjoy your Sunday!

(I was having trouble getting to Emily's blog for some reason, so here is the address for her blog in case you can't link to it: http://emmielouwho.blogspot.com/ I keep getting hung up there and it freezes on me. If this is happening to you as well, hop over to Deb's blog. She is the last one on the hop!)

Artful INKables Winter Blog Hop

Are you getting ready for the snow? Or maybe you already have some (right Holly?)! Well it's coming, and we need to be prepared when it comes to stamping! So Artful INKables is having a winter blog hop! We're showcasing some of the great winter stamp sets in the store that deserve some love!

If you've come here from Joy's blog
, you are right on track. If not, head on over to the Artful INKables blog and start there. If you leave a comment on everyone's blog by Sunday, November 1, you'll have a chance to win some AI blog candy! How easy is that?

Today I'm showcasing the set Snow Play because I just loved the little girl (and boy) in the set playing in the snow. They just looked like they were having so much fun! Here's my card.
I wanted to use some fun bright colors, so I started with SU's retired paper called Frosty Day. This little girl is colored with copic markers and I've put some star dust stickles on the snow, snowballs and her scarf. The sentiment (also from the set) says it all! Remember throwing snowballs at each other? Such fun! I used Jen del Muro's sketch from last Saturday, but changed the circle to an oval to accommodate my image.

Want to see the last one on the hop? Then hop on over to Deborah's blog to see her fabulous creation! Thanks for stopping by today! I have another post today, so please stop by for that one as well!

Artful INKables Blog Hop and Release Day!

Today is the release of two new sets from Artful INKables called A Bird's Song and Down on the Farm, and we are hosting a blog hop to preview these new sets. You should have arrived from Jen's blog. If not, please hop over to the Artful INKables blog and start there. You don't want to miss all the great projects the AI DT has for you to see!

I'm previewing A Bird's Song today. When I saw this, I was extremely excited! It's such a pretty set of two birds, some sentiments, and accent pieces.Isn't this bird just gorgeous? See, I told you it was a great set! I colored the image with copics, then sponged in some So Saffron ink in the background. The berries on the branch is a separate stamp that fits on there perfectly. All you need is your stamp-a-ma-jig to place them on there just right! I cut around them before I cut out the image with this nestie. Our very own Joy has a tutorial on how to do this technique on the AI blog
here. I put star dust stickles on the berries and the bird and added the flower rhinestones in yellow and blue in the corners. The sentiment is also from the set. I used Jen del Muro's sketch from last Saturday. Artful INKables has a great sketch challenge for the Think INK Tuesday Challenge for you this week, however it just didn't work for this image I chose to use. I'll have one done with that sketch later...it runs for two weeks so I have lots of time to make something with the new sets!

Now you have to hop over to Sherry's blog and see her fabulous creation! Thanks for stopping by today and enjoy your hop!

Happy Monday everyone! Are you having fun on the Artful INKables blog hop? You should have arrived here from Crystal's blog and seen her great Halloween creation! If not, hop over to the AI blog and start there! We have two new sets being released today that you won't want to miss out on! Crystal showed you a card made from Halloween Hauntings and I'm going to show you one from a super cute Christmas set called Holiday Treats and Tails. I've never seen a beaver associated with Christmas, but I'm over the top for this one! Here's my card.Isn't he just the cutest little thing? There are two other beaver images that are equally as cute. Hopefully you'll see them on the hop, if you haven't already! This whole card started with this ribbon that is new to the AI store. Kristin gave each of us some of it to use, and it dictated my color choice. I used SU's Cottage Wall and Rich Razzleberry cardstock. The sketch is from SCS this week. I just flipped it to accommodate my image.

Mr. Beaver is colored with copics and I added star dust stickles to the tree and yellow stickles to the star. I just got this Martha Stewart loop punch and LOVE IT!! Doesn't it just look so pretty on the bottom? So glad I was able to get that one!

So to continue with the hop, please go to Emily's blog and see what she has to wow you! You have the chance to win some AI blog candy, so make sure you finish the hop! Thanks for stopping in today, and have a great week!

Artful Inkables Challenge

Hi everyone! Today is my day to post my challenge card for the Think INK Tuesday Challenge. This is a bi-weekly challenge that anyone can join. You don't need to use AI stamps, but if you have them why not use them, right? And if you don't have them, you might want to give them a try because they are really very nice stamps!

This week's challenge is a color challenge issued by Joy Stagg and she chose the fabulous color combo of red, black and white. So I decided to use the snake with hot peppers from the new set called
South of the Border. I just fell in love with this fun set!

I had been saving this ribbon for just the right card, and this was it! It was perfect for this sketch from the Mojo Monday blog. They are celebrating 100 sketches this week with a new sketch every day from their DT. I just turned the sketch on its side to accommodate my image. I colored the snake with copic markers and added Crystal Effects to the snake's eyes and the peppers. I also added Star Dust Stickles to the green tops of the peppers because I love SPARKLE!

I have to say that I think my mojo is still on vacation! This was the first card I had done in well over a week because I was on vacation. I'd heard about losing your mojo after a vacation, but I didn't think it would happen to me! I do like the card, but I had something different in mind! What do you think?

Remember to join the AI challenge if you like this color combo. You have the chance to win a grab bag of AI stamps, too! All you have to do is link your direct post to Mr. Linky on the AI blog. Thanks for stopping by today!

Recipe
Stamps: South of the Border (Artful Inkables)
Paper: PTI white, black, PTI dp (b&w dots), Cosmo Cricket (red)
Ink: Memento tuxedo black, real red
Accessories: Nesties, crystal effects, star dust stickles, ribbon, scallop border punch, corner rounder, circle punch, dimensionals

Artful Inkables Blog Hop and Release Day!

Are you ready to hop with Artful Inkables today? The DT has three great sets to show you! You should have arrived from the AI blog. If not, start there to get some important information you'll need for a chance to win all three sets pictured here!Don't they look fun and fabulous? I have a card made with the great new set called Fun and Friendly. It has some really cute sayings and images to go along with it. This is what I did with it.I have a friend I go stamp shopping with that would appreciate this card! I stamped the image twice, then cut out the credit card. I added the words "S. Stamper" and "Visa" inside the boxes and colored it with copic markers. I mounted it on the original image with dimensionals, then added crystal effects to give it that shiny credit card look. I then added the red sort of "flames" coming from the credit card to make it look like it was smokin' from all the use it got! I wanted the papers to be really bright and hot, so I used Yo Yo Yellow as my base and some Basic Grey papers (Junebug for the yellow and print and I think the red is from Marrakech). I liked the square red bling and added one to the middle of yellow and red primas.

So do you want to see more? You won't want to miss what the other DT has for you. Your next stop is Crystal's blog. Have fun on the hop and good luck with the blog hop candy! Thanks for stopping by!
