Freebie Friday at Paper Makeup Stamps

Well it's Friday and that means Paper Makeup Stamps has another FREE digi wordart for you. You can pick it up here on the PMS blog and it will be available free for a week before it goes away and you'll have to pay for it! It's a beautiful saying by Leonardo da Vinci.
When I first saw it, I thought of doing a clean and simple card, but it sort of got complicated along the way! I used the Mojo sketch from yesterday and the color combo from the Color Throwdown blog. They chose three of the new SU in-colors: bermuda bay, soft suede, and dusty durango. I matched up this Marrakech dp from Basic Grey. All the layers were distressed with soft suede ink and I used the dusty durango polka dot ribbon. The flower is from the Friendly Flowers set from PMS. I just loaded the stamp with dusty durango ink, stamped off then stamped on my circle. I didn't want the image to be too strong...the wordart was the focal point of this card. I finished off the bow with a PTI button strung with some floss in a rust color.

My Cute Nephews

My nephews, Ethan and Kristoff, had birthdays in July and August and my niece is having their party tomorrow at a park. She asked me to make the invitations. She sent me a picture of the boys giving each other a bear hug when they were at Disney World a few months ago. So cute!I used the numbers cuttlebug folder and found that if I placed my photo in just the right spot, the 2 and 5, their ages, was visible. So I took a dauber and sponged some blue ink on the numbers to highlight them. Super easy! The information on the inside was just computer generated, and I stamped a fun confetti image on it as well.

I've printed mine out large so it would be the focus of my card (and I followed the SCS sketch from this week, too). However you could print it out smaller to go along with an image or place it on a scrapbook page. There are so many possibilities. And the price is right...FREE!!
