Christmas Card Challenge #5 - Winter Wool Colors

Happy Sunday!  I'm here with the first Christmas Card Challenge for 2015!  This week is a color challenge and we have some calm neutral colors for you.

Here's a close up of the colors.

I love these colors!  I started by creating the background with the MFT Plaid Background Builder.  First time using it and so fun!  But the stamping in the middle was a little light, so I knew I had to cover it up somehow.  So I took out this Phrase Play die and cut it in vanilla and kraft cardstock.  I inserted the kraft snowflake and banners back into the die cut.  The vanilla letters were inserted into the banner as well.  To cover up another bad spot, I added the ribbon.  I mounted these two panels onto some soft suede cardstock. The brown glitter dot was added last.

Love this. Yesterday I was die cutting and began doing what you did with your snowflake and other pieces. Hadn't finished mine yet, but love how yours looks. Might have to keep at it.

Sometimes our little bloopers lead us to be more creative and if you hadn't told us that some of these elements were to cover something up, I would have said this was exactly how you meant it to be - great design.

Very nice card. I really like how you did the sentiment. I need to go to PTI and check those out. Great patterned paper too, perfect for the colors.
