Time Out #27 - CAS with a Twist

Hi friends!  We have a new Time Out challenge, and this week the challenge is CAS...but with a twist.  The twist is to make a black and white card with a splash of one other color.  Think you can handle that?  I'm sure you can!

I was so happy that it was a CAS card this week cause I've just been so exhausted lately.  Anyway, when I went to my stamp table to think about this card, this set from SU was on my desk.  I've been wanting it for a long while an finally bought it recently.  So I stamped the gingham circle in black as well as the sentiment.  The flowers on the sentiment were masked off and colored with markers.  Here's my dilemma...what color do I color the leaves?  If I did them in black, I don't think I'd like it.  But if I colored them green, it would add another color. So I went rogue and colored them green!  I also added more gingham in the pink to the right side for balance.  I love this color combo! To finish it off, I added enamel dots and rounded the corners.

You can find more inspiration on the Time Out blog

We have guest designer Susanne joining us this time around.

Also, CAS-ual Fridays is our sponsor - we will do a random draw for those who use the twist and the winner will get $20 gift voucher.

We hope to see you playing along with us.  Thanks for stopping by!

The touches of gingham are fab, I have been looking at the 'you' and wondering is this stamped or paper pieced, whatever it looks great!

Great circle and so good that the gingham is also on the side; looks so balanced like this! Hugs, Gerrina

You rebel using green and red!! I would have done the same thing, would have been strange with red flower and black leaves, for this card anyway. Your card is so pretty and love the gingham detail. Hope you've had some rest and not feeling so tired now.
