Time Out Challenge #28 - CASE with your own twist

Hello friends!  It's time for another Time Out Challenge!  This time around is our CASE with your own twist challenge.

This is the card by Kim that we are CASEing  Lovely, right?

Here's what I came up with.  I used a technique I found on SCS called black magic.  Basically, you stamp your image in white pigment ink on dark cardstock, heat set it, and color it in with colored pencils.  I need some practice with this technique because I'm not all that happy with my outcome, but I think it's ok. I used Prismacolor pencils to do my coloring.   My sentiment was stamped in Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

We have a sponsor this week and that is Clearly Besotted StampsThe prize is a £20 gift voucher to the winner.

We also have Claire joining us as guest designer this week.

You can see more information on the Time Out blog as well as more inspiration from the design team.

Thanks for stopping by!

you are way too hard on yourself Lisa as I think your colouring is fabulous and the colour combo so right for this time of year. This black magic technique looks fun, I hadn't heard of it before but Claire our GD also used it. Hope you are o.k xx

I think it's come out perfectly Lisa - your colours seem to look brighter than mine. Did you use normal colouring pencils?

Love the colours on the black!
I like the pensels verry much, but it took me some time to get used to work with them... Happy Eastern, Gerrina

I think this is amazing and the colouring is glorious!! I tried using pencils on black cardstock too but my colours are no where near as bright as yours, so its back to the drawing board for my reminder card....Hope you have a wonderful Easter!!

This reminds me of the Dutch tole painting, Lisa. So pretty and I love the rounded corners and white framing. Really a standout.
