Just Us Girls #292 - Trend Week

It's Trend Week over at Just Us Girls.  Vicki has chosen a tried and true trend - embossing.

I chose to use wet and dry embossing.  When I was surfing blogs this week, I came across a card made to look like it was quilted (I cannot remember who it was that did this technique!).  What I did was punch out squares from coordinating paper.  Then I covered a piece of cardstock with adhesive and placed the squares on top  Then I ran it through an embossing folder to make it look quilted.  You'll be able to see the quilted look in the next picture.  Then I also embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder.  The flowers were cut with the button stacks die and I tied it up with floss.

Here's a close up of the "quilting".

I also used the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch.

You can see more from the team and our guest.
