Hi everyone! The challenge this week over at Just Us Girls is our word challenge, and Nancy chose SEA. So many great things you can do with this word!
I tried to do a scene with a lighthouse, but I'm just not good at creating scenes. So I pulled out this flamingo stamp set and pretty much followed the picture on the package for my layout. I used the Distress Oxide inks for the water and sky. The flamingo is a layering stamp and is stamped with three different pink inks. I die cut water with a hills die and the frame with a wonky stitches die. I added clear sequins and also spritzed the completed panel with shimmer spritz. The main panel is mounted on desert storm paper for more of a beach look. My friends and I have a girls' night planned in a few weeks at one of our friend's house, so I thought I'd take this with a gift for her.
You can see more from the JUGs design team and our new guest for April, Laurie Unger, on the JUGs blog.
Thanks for stopping by!

Simply gorgeous. So colourful. Great take on this weeks challenge.
This is gorgeous! Your background is blended beautifully (can't wait for my Oxide inks to arrive). Stunning flamingo and love the addition of the clear sequins and the shimmer spritz!
I love this flamingo. Have had my eye on it for awhile. I have the goldfish set from HA and the flamingo would be a nice addition. Anyway, I love how you have used it here. Your colors are perfect, and the background is perfect too. Great take on the challenge!!!
