Hi everyone! I'm the hostess at Just Us Girls this week, and for our Word Week challenge I chose SHOWER. I chose this word because yesterday was my niece's bridal shower. She's getting married in September. Can't wait for that!
So I needed a card for the bridal shower for my mom. The color scheme for the shower was Tiffany blue, gold, and white. So that's what I chose for the card. I started by die cutting the umbrella then stamping the top in Audrey blue and the handle in gold. I didn't have cardstock to match, so I took the ink cube and went ink to paper to create the blue strip on the left and for the sentiment. I did the same for the gold piece. I ran the white piece through a swiss dot embossing folder. The sentiment was white heat embossed and I finished off the card with shimmer spritz and gold sequins. My mom loved it!
I hope you can join us this week. We are welcoming Darnell Knauss as our August guest! So happy to have her joining us! Stop by the JUGs blog to see more!
Thanks for stopping by!

This is such a pretty card, and I love that you used the actual ink to color your paper. Works perfectly every time. I often do that with ribbon as well. Great design, beautifully done!
Love your umbrellas - they are so pretty! Love your whole card and the challenge theme is great too!
Fun word - love the color combo you have with this pretty card
Those umbrellas are adorable. Lovely cas card packing a punch with those colours.
Congratulations to your niece on the upcoming nuptials! It's fun to know the reason you chose the word "shower!" You've made a beautiful bridal shower card for your Mom to give her! I love that border, the twin umbrellas, and the swiss dots background! Thank you so much for the welcome and thank you for letting me play with you this month!! (Sorry to be so late; we've been on vacation with spotty intertubes!) Hugs, Darnell
I love the shape of those umbrellas, Lisa, and that fabulous sentiment.
