Time Out #89 - Home Sweet Home Challenge

Hi friends!  The new challenge at Time Out is up!  It's our Home Sweet Home challenge where we give you a picture in a home to be inspired by.

Here's this challenge's photo.  I love these colors!
21 Ways to Make the Industrial Look Work for You including brick veneer, pallet coffee tables and map walls:

I did something real simple because it's been a busy week for me!  Too much fun to be had in this short period of time we call "summer"!  So I used this new stamp concept that I'm obsessed with!  They are the turnabout stamps from Concord & 9th.  The one I used today is the Triangle Turnabout.  I stamped it in blue, kraft, and brown inks then again in Versamark and embossed in gold.  (My stamping is a little wonky!  The triangles don't match up very well.  I really need to fix that next time!)  I took these colors from the photo.  I stamped a whole panel then cut it in half and attached it to the card base.  I wanted to use the same blue color for the die cut, so I dragged the ink pad on some white cardstock and die cut the word from that.  I added gold sequins to finish it off.

You can see more from the Time Out crew and our guest for this challenge, Trina, on the Time Out blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

I love, love, love your take on the inspiration. It's such a wonderful color palate, and you have used it wonderfully! Great graphic design. Love the sentiment on the top!

Love the different approach on the photo. The colour palette is beautiful. I bought that turnabout, but have yet to ink it up. You may have just inspired me to give it a try. Great card.

I think it is a great take on the photo. You hit the colours perfectly. And I would never have noticed the triangles don't match up...actually I can hardly tell now!!

So cool, Lisa ... I love that Triangle Turnabout too ... and the colours you've used to make this stylish panel are just delcious! The curvy sentiment is a great contrast to the graphic panel! Hugs, Anita :)

I don't think there's anything wrong in your triangle stamping, this looks fantastic! Great use of the colors of the photo, a wonderful masculine card.

This is amazing. I love graphic stamps, but never know exactly what to do with them. Clearly, you KNOW. Fantastic masculine card.

I love the graphic design you used - that triangle turnabout stamp is fabulous and looks great in those masculine colours (I still have ink mine up - thanks for the inspiration!). Great card!
