Hey friends! It's Trend week over at Just Us Girls, and Sue chose the galaxy background. So fun!
These backgrounds are so cool to create. They really don't look great while making them, but when done they look amazing. And they look even better when the white paint is splattered on them (in my opinion!). I first die cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die then embossed the sentiment and fireworks with white embossing powder. Once that was done, I started blending blues, purples, and black inks on the panel. I buffed off any ink that remained on the white embossing. Then I splattered it with the white paint and added the sequins for more shine. This panel was mounted on fun foam to the base.
Check out what the JUGs design team and our January guest did with this trend on the JUGs blog.
Thanks for stopping by!

Wow, your background is stunning! I love the big bold sentiment and the addition of the fireworks. Those sequins finish this off perfectly!

Perfect bg with the bursts!!
You my friend sure know how to blend those Oxide Inks...me....not so much! Your card is amazing!!
Your sentiment and fireworks really pop against that fabulous night sky, Lisa! Beautiful!
The fireworks looks fabulous with your galaxy sky, Lisa. The white spatters add so much and are a bright white. Mine usually fade away.
