Gnome Pile

Happy Sunday friends!  I'm in a gnome mood lately.  I've purchased several of the Stampingbella gnome images.  They are so adorable and fun to color!

 

This one is called Gnome Pile.  I used the packaging as an example to color them.  Very simple copic coloring.  The sentiment that comes with it didn't suit my needs, so I found this MFT one that I thought fit.  It was stamped with Versamark and embossed in white.  I found some pattern paper that matched and added a panel to the left.  The main panel and image panel were die cut with stitched rectangles.  I added Nuvo drops and mounted the sentiment flag and image panel on craft foam. 

 

I'm using the Fusion Challenge sketch as inspiration for my card.

The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge - Day 6

This is Day 6 of the The Daily Marker 30 Day Challenge over at the Daily Marker.  I'm entering this card for the challenge.  I colored this image according to a picture I took of it at a stamp show because I would not even begin to know to color it without an example!  I cut out the left side of the image and mounted it on a red panel.  The geraniums were covered in star dust stickles and look so pretty and sparkly.  The sentiment was die cut three times from black cardstock and stacked.  I added the black hearts and also added the stickles to them.  It was so relaxing coloring this image.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Entry #3

Hey friends!  I'm back with another entry for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  Getting my coloring on and having fun doing it!

 

Here are the two images I colored.  They were very quick coloring too!

 

This was the first of the two I created with the image.  (The image is from Darcie's; no name on it just a number, but it has two duck images and cute sentiments.  I'll have other cards made with the other image soon.)  I pulled out a circle stencil, yellow ink, and those life changing brushes that are all the rage.  They really are so soft and easy to use!  I wish I would have stenciled out more, but I did that on the next card.  I die cut the circular HB die and put the image on dimensionals right in the middle.  I added crystals to the card and on the center of her flower.  I also added some star dust stickles to her color.  This is (shockingly) a one layer card (sort of!). 

 

I did the same with this card, but just changed out the colors.  I stenciled out more of the green on the card and I like it better.

30 Day Coloring Challenge - Entry #2

I've decided that I have to start coloring more.  I used to color all the time, but got away from it with all the layering stamps and such I've purchased.  The 30 Day Coloring Challenge is the perfect time to get on this.

 

I like these types of images because the shading is already identified on the image which makes it easy.  I'm not good at shading.  I stamped this in GinaK amalgam ink and colored it with copic markers.  The sentiment was stamped in Versafine onyx black ink and embossed with clear powder.  I just added sequins for some sparkle.  I did color another image today, but haven't made it into a card yet.  That's on tomorrow's agenda!

Tag You're It! #80

I was so happy to see that the Tag You're It! Challenge is back!  I love making tags. I don't use them much, but I love making them!  Their theme is love is in the air, and when I saw their graphic, I thought of this die I have. I first die cut two tags from white card stock.  Then I die cut the heart die from one of them and again from red glitter cardstock.  I covered the one tag with adhesive and adhered the other to it.  Then I just inlaid the red glitter pieces into it.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink.  I decided it needed something.  I saw these little agenda bunnies stamps and chose this one.  I did color him with copics (it's not much, but I did color him with pink, red, and gray markers), so I'm entering this into the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  You have to start somewhere, right?  I do want to color more, so baby steps!  I added ribbon and these little hearts to finish it off.

Just Us Girls #353 - Photo Inspiration

Hi all!  There's a new challenge up on the Just Us Girls blog!  It's photo inspiration week and Sue chose this golfing photo.  I started playing golf last year so this is right up my alley!

 

I purchased this golf cart stamp last year at a stamp show.  My good friend Tracy started golfing this year, and we've been golfing together.  She gave me a beautiful bracelet the other day for my birthday (a few months late!) and I wanted to send her a thank you card.  I thought this golf cart image would be cute to send to her.  I did some masking on this card.  I stamped the cart on the cardstock (several times using the Mini Misti!) and also on masking paper.  I also die cut some clouds from the masking paper.  The cart was covered with the mask and then I added the cloud masks.  I sponged some blue distress ink on the background, removed the masks, then colored the image with copic markers (we have the same clubs and our bags are blue).  The grass was created with a punch and adhered with some fun foam.  I added the sentiment (layered four times), some sequins, and Spectrum Noir crystal clear shimmer.

 

I'm also going to enter this in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Freshly Made Sketches #244

Hi everyone!  I'm back again with a card for two challenges today.  I love this stamp set and haven't had the opportunity to use it yet.  I decided to make a shaker too.  These flowers were colored the other day with copics, and today I decided to die cut them for this card.  I placed some SU designer paper behind the shaker...I love that pop of green.  I also love that little bee just buzzing around!  The grass was stamped and die cut four times and layered at the bottom of the flowers. I added the sentiment and sequins to finish it off.  And of course there is shimmer on all of the die cuts!

 

I used the Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.

 

I'm also entering this into the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  This is my second entry so far.  Let's see how many I can enter!

Just Us Girls #351 - Trend Week

Happy Saturday!  It's been super hot and humid here this week.  Not a fan of humidity!

 

We have a new challenge over at Just Us Girls.  It's Trend Week and Vicki chose sponging.  One of my favorite things to do!

 

I just received a box full of the new MFT products yesterday and thought I color up the little bear with copics.  I gave him some texture by putting some copic various ink on a washcloth and dabbing it on him. (I remember seeing this done when I went for my copic certification and thinking it was so cool!)  I added some shimmer on the balloon and box.  The sponging came in on the background.  I taped off the perimeter of the cardstock and sponged distress inks on it.  Then I splattered it with water.  The sentiment was stamped in black ink and embossed.  The bear was added with fun foam and I also added some sequins.

 

I'm also entering this in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.  I've colored a couple of other things...one didn't turn out good and the other I haven't finished.  I'll be posting it later.

Time Out #41 - Reminder

Hi all!  This is a reminder that our current challenge over at Time Out is still going on for another week.  We are being inspired by these words:

Autumn...the year's last, loveliest smile.

I purchased this Harvest Mouse stamp set last week from my LSS.  My friend Cheryl and I were there for an amazing technique class taught by Tammy Tutterow.  More on those techniques in another post!  So one night I stamped and colored three of the five mouse images from the stamp set while I was watching TV.  (I got my color inspiration from Jennifer McGuire who colored these in one of her fabulous videos.)  Coloring them was half the battle!  Then I die cut the circles to place him on, added the striped dp to a base that was embossed with a wood impression plate, and added a twine bow and sequins for sparkle.  The circle is popped up on fun foam.

 

The layout I used is from The Challenge.

 

 

I'm also entering this in the 30 Day Color Challenge.  I haven't colored in a really long time.  I forgot how fun it is!
