Just Us Girls #634 - Photo Week

Hi everyone!  The Just Us Girls Photo Week challenge is hosted by Carol Mc. and she chose this lovely photo of bicycles with baskets of flowers.

I chose to use this old set from Papertrey Ink.  I liked the blue bike in the photo and went in that direction.  I die cut the main part of the bicycle and stamped the tires in black.  The frame part was stamped in blue and I used a black copic marker to color in the set.  The basket was stamped in brown and the flowers in yellow with green leaves.  I added crystals to the centers of the tires.  Then I had to decide how finish off the card.  I chose a scene card (I don't know why because it is my least favorite card design to create).  The tree and frame is a coverplate from Lawn Fawn.  I first die cut it from white card stock for the base then from brown for the tree.  I then die cut it from the yellow gingham and cut out the tree to get the frame.  The blue background is another pattern paper.  I die cut the grass and tree top from green card stock.  I added crystals and shimmer to the flowers and stamped the sentiment in black.

Just Us Girls #633 - Color Week

Hello!  It's Color Week over at Just Us Girls this week.  Bobby has chosen coral, blue, and tan.

I had this stencil on my desk and thought it would look good in the coral and blue colors.  After stenciling, I die cut it with a stitched rectangle.  I used the tan color for the flower and added a coral center and blue leaves.  The sentiment was die cut with the same coral and blue card stocks.  I added shimmer to the flower center and the sentiment.  I also added pearls in a tan color.

Just Us Girls #632 - Trend Week

Hi friends!  The Trend Week challenge over at Just Us Girls is hosted by Carol.  She's chosen shaped cards for our challenge.

I had to search high and low for this die set from Honey Bee!  I knew I had it and was pleased when I finally found it.  I've had it forever, and it's the first time it is being used....can you believe it?  LOL!  It is so fast and easy to create, so I made four of them.  I die cut the card part from white card stock.  Then I used some Tonic velvet black card stock for the tops of the bottles and glitter card stock in various colors for the bottoms.  The die set has two different bows, so I created two of each from coordinating colored card stock.  I adhered two on an angle and two straight on.  I had to find a small die for the front and found this "hi" sentiment.  On the card with the bow angled, I also angled the die cut.  The other two were adhered straight.

These are adorable.  I love the blue one!

My current nail polish is very similar to the pink one here!

These cards are very small, so I had to find sentiments for the inside that would fit.  These are the ones I chose, both from MFT.

Just Us Girls #631 - Word Week

Hello everyone!  The new challenge over at Just Us Girls is the Word Week challenge.  Vicki has chosen flowers.

I just returned from a trip to Italy, and we spent time on the Amalfi coast where lemons are in abundance.  I can still smell the fragrance!  So I pulled out this lemon die set from Spellbinders, which also has flowers in it.  I die cut the parts from various greens, white and yellow card stocks and adhered them together.  I adhered them to a panel that was impressed with a weave stencil.  I ran it through my die cut machine with the rubber mat to impress the stencil into the card stock.  I stamped the sentiment in black ink and die cut it with a square die.  The main panel was spritzed with shimmer spray and I added yellow crystals.  I mounted that panel onto a yellow mat and adhered that to the white base.

Here's a picture of some lemon trees.  They were growing everywhere!
