It was killing me not to add any color, so I added the pink to her cheeks (R11) and took a soft brush and added some background color. It was supposed to be pink, but there was some yellow ink on the brush from a previous project and it's not pink, but rather an orangey color! The dp is DCWV All Dressed Up. It looked sort of Asian. I love the sketch and here's what I came up with. 
I used another one of Shaela's new wordart images for this one. I just loved that saying and I paired it with some flowered dp (by Pebbles Inc.) and some primas in the colors of the dp. I also highlighted the dp with copics in Y38, RV13, and R24. These colors best matched the colors in the dp as well. 
This card is so much prettier IRL. It did not photograph well. But isn't this quote great? I had to read it a few times before I was really able to appreciate it! It's very thought-provoking! I used a DCWV pad called Sweet Stack. These papers are all glittered up (which is fab with me!). The vertical scalloped and brown piece is all the dp. So nice and easy to work with when everything is already done for you! I used a brown and blue copic marker (E25 and B52) to highlight the important words. The butterfly was created with two cuttlebug dies. The outline was done with white paper and the underside was done with the same blue paper. I added Star Dust Stickes to the outline. The brown dots are Candy Dots by a company called Pebbles Inc. Very quick and easy card to create! Now on to the next card.
So this quote is my motto! I'm a last minute person through and through! My DH calls me "Last Minute Lisa"! It's just my nature, I guess! I was like that in school, doing my projects a few days before they were due, and I'm like that now with my card making...I've had over a week to get these done and I did them last night at about 9:00 p.m.! I even did something very last minute with this card...I took the picture and edited it, then decided to add the candy dots! I had to take another picture and edit it again! See? Last minute! Anyway, back to the card! I didn't get a chance to do the PMS Monday Challenge, so I decided to incorporate that challenge into this card. This is the inspiration piece 
Cute picture, great colors! I once again used the DCWV Sweet Stack paper in these fun and bright colors! I added the snail from PMS to go along with my last minute theme. The cardstock I used was Certainly Celery and the new in-color Crushed Curry. I like taking my copic markers and highlighting words and letters in these quotes. Here I used three markers matched up to the dp to highlight the different letters. It really makes it pop!
I guess monsters are afraid of the water! I colored him with a green copic marker that was too bright for my monster, so I went over it with a W-3 gray marker so it matched the dp better. (That's the great thing about copics...you can layer color over color with wonderful results.) The dp is an old one of SU's called Cutie Pie. I also used Bashful Blue and Rose Red cardstock. The red cardstock was run though the Swiss Dots cuttlebug folder. I punched circles from the background dp with a 1" punch, then paired them with these Page Pebbles that I've had forever. Crystal Effects was used on the waterwings and flippers, and I added these Rain Dots to mimic the splash of the water. The sentiment is from PTI's Star Points set. Someone is out there yelling to Calder, "Just do it...jump!!" The layout is a Taylored Expressions one from a couple of weeks ago. .jpg)
I printed out this image and sentiment on my computer, then colored the doghouse and cut it out. The sentiment was punched with the SU scallop oval punch. I ran a piece of ivory cardstock through the distressed stripes cuttlebug folder and mounted it on a piece of black. The doghouse was layered on that with dimensionals. The dp is from SU's retired Summer Picnic dp. I sponged some Riding Hood Red around the sentiment to make it look like another layer. The ribbon is something I picked up at Michael's. Loved the paw prints on it! The dog and bones were buttons that I picked up at Hobby Lobby. I just cut the shanks off of them and glued them on with Crystal Effects. The bone on the doghouse has an "L" on it for my dog, Lizzie! Those are her real bones there as a prop...I hope she's ok with that! She loves her bones! I followed the Mojo Monday sketch for this week, however I had to change the orientation of my ribbon a bit. Here's the sketch. 
When I started this card, I was trying to find the perfect dp. I remembered I had purchased a long time ago some dp with a camping theme for scrapbooking (when I was in to that craft!). I searched my stash and found it! It was perfect! Can you see the marshmallows roasting over the fire? My fern leaf is covering it a bit, but it's still visible. I pulled the colors from the dp to color Scout with copic markers. I added Liquid Applique to the marshmallow (about 3 times because I kept smudging it...ugghh!) without heat setting it. I wanted it to be smooth, instead of puffed up. I added some Star Dust stickles to Scout and gold and orange Spica glitter pens to his buckles on his shoes and the flame from the marshmallow. Really cute image, don't you think?
Isn't she sweet in her tankini? I printed this off on PTI white and again on regular computer paper which then was used as a mask. I cut and placed the mask over the image, then took a post-it note and tore it and placed that on the image. I was then able to stipple in my sand and the sky. I used Sahara Sand and Cool Caribbean. I took a brown copic and dotted the sand for more depth. IShe's colored with copics and there is Crystal Effects on the beachball (a couple of times again because I kept smudging it!). The dp is Basic Grey's Lime Rickey. I created the swirl on the front edge of the card with a Creative Memories decorative cutter. Then I just placed a piece of the blue paper on the inside of the card. The red ribbon finished it off.
