This is going to be a quick post tonight! I received a gift today from a student in our 5th grade that isn't even in my classroom! I thought it was so thoughtful, that I had to make a quick card to give to her tomorrow. I saw the sketch on Splitcoast Stampers today and it fit the bill perfectly! I saw a few teacher cards in the gallery with apples, so I decided to pull our my Apples to Apples and Everyday Thanks sets from Paper Makeup Stamps. The notebook paper is something I picked up at my LSS. I drew the red line with a red pen, then punched the side to look like it was ripped out of a spiral notebook (something I HATE when my kids do...I hate that ragged edge on their papers, but like it on my cards...go figure!). I doodled a little bit with a white get pen on the top and bottom of the red piece, added a little bit of star dust stickles on the apples and was done! I was having a hard time keeping all that white above and below the sentiment, but I had to let it go! I'm a "more" crafter, so let me tell you it was definitely difficult to let it go! LOL!!
(I see after I uploaded the sketch to this post that my notebook piece is larger than the piece should be! Oh well!)
Thanks for stopping in today! PMS has a great new challenge coming out on Friday, so make sure you stop by the PMS blog!

THat's a great card! Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog.
Great card! Love how you've colored the PMS apples-perfectly ripe and ready to eat! The sentiment is nice too, as is your doodling! I think it fits the spirit of the sketch just fine!
(I hate the notebook edges too!)
I think you card is sweet and special. The student will really enjoy it!
A kindness done and one returned! This will be truly appreciated, Lisa. It is PERFECT and a sketch is just a guideline. I recognized it as yesterday's sketch immediately I saw it. As for that "white space" and being a "more" crafter, I HEAR YOU, but this is perfect as it is.
AWW Lisa this is ONE great THANK you, perfect job with the sketch........The student will soooo love it1!!
