Hi friends! Are you getting ready for Thanksgiving next week? I went shopping today for all the Thanksgiving fixings. The store was hoppin'! I love this time of the year, except for what comes next...all the holiday shopping! I'm getting to dislike that part of that next holiday!
Anyway, Just Us Girls has a new color challenge for you this week and Maria chose the traditional Thanksgiving fall colors!
I have tons of fall images and this one from Flourishes called Season of Thanks caught my eye. I love this particular image from the set. I have some corn like this that I hang in my kitchen every fall. I used it for inspiration for coloring the image. I used copic markers to color it and added some star dust stickles for some sparkle. I finished it off with this twine bow and button that I made before and found on my table.
The inspiration for my sketch came from this iSpy sketch. My main panel is centered as opposed to being off to the right. It just didn't look right off-center. But I loved the CAS look of this sketch.
You can see more inspiration using these colors from my JUGs girls at these blogs.

absolutely beautiful Lisa...your coloring is incredible!
Fabulous focal image and wonderfully coloured and framed by that nestie. Love the script in the BG (I will never give up my French Script BG stamp - though I know this is the one that replaced it). Great use of the colours and sketch :)
What a wonderful job! I love that image!
Enjoy your holiday, Lisa. Hopefully the shopping for the next part will not be as bad as you expect:) This is a great image and sketch to capture the spirit of Thanksgiving. I like how you centered it, too. You really captured the color of the corn husks perfectly. Hugs ~
