Hi friends! Instead of sitting around this beautiful Sunday morning, I was up before 8:00 am cleaning (I usually don't get moving until 11:00 am, so this is a monumental feat for me!) and crafting. I saw the Sweet Sunday sketch last night on Facebook, and knew I had to make something with it!
Papertrey's Hands of Time stamp set was the perfect choice for this sketch. I stamped the smaller of the two clock faces in Soft Suede ink, and then stamped the Roman numerals in Riding Hood Red ink. My color palette came from this Bo Bunny paper called Timepiece. I stamped the clock hands in red and fussy cut them. They are attached with a brown pearl. I added more pearls in the upper corner. I cut the flags myself and added the brown SU grosgrain ribbon.
Here's the inside. I'm sending this to our friends Valerie and Norman. We visited them at their beautiful townhome in Lake Placid on President's Day weekend. They were such lovely hosts, and we enjoyed ourselves immensely! We went snowshoeing, shopping, visited an ice castle (the temps were hovering around the 2 degree Fahrenheit mark all weekend!), and Kevin went on the Skeleton ride down the bobsled run. The Skeleton is the Luge, but head first! He had a ball!
Here are a couple of pictures I took. This first one is of Whiteface Mountain. I believe that vertical structure in front was the Olympic torch. Isn't this a beautiful picture? It was sunny all weekend, but the ski resort was closed all weekend because of wind. :-( for the boys!
Thanks for stopping by and reading about my little adventure!
