Hi friends! The challenge this time around on the Time Out blog is the Inspired by Words challenge. We give you a quote to be inspired by, and the quote is a goodie!
"A woman is like a tea bag - you can't tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water"
by Eleanor Roosevelt
I knew I had a stamp with this quote, and it took me a minute to find it in my collection of stamps but I found it! It's from an old My Time Made Easy set that you can't get in a stamp anymore (I don't think!), however you may be able to get it in digital form here. I die cut the stack of tea cups and colored them with copics to match the paper. I also covered all of them with Wink of Stella. I added some sequins and ribbon, which I haven't used in forever!
I'm playing along with the Mojo Monday sketch challenge this week. I haven't played in that challenge in quite a while!
Just a reminder that our Time Out challenges usually run for two weeks, however, we made a boo-boo and scheduled this for only one week! So hurry and get your entry in!
Thanks for stopping by!

great sentiment and fab colouring, thought it was paper piecing!
You found such exact Copic matches to your DP that it's almost hard to believe! :) Great job! I love your layout and how fun you had this exact sentiment. xxx

The tea cups and sentiment are the perfect match! Love how you colored the cups. Thanks for joining us at Mojo Monday!
Waaay back, I think it was you who made me aware there was a mojo monday, but I never knew how you found all these places around the net...so challenged was I:). You did such a great job on this, Lisa. Love the cheery plaid, and the verse in the circle as well as the o so creative use of the horizontal layer as a shelf for your sweet stack of cups.
Love it how you used the colours from the DP in the teacups! Again a fun and fresh card in your beautiful style! Enjoy the weekend!
How fabulous that you had exactly that sentiment, Lisa ... it's gorgeous with those cute, beautifully coloured stack of tea cups! Hugs, Anita :)
Fantastic that you actually had that sentiment. Too bad it is no longer available, as it is a good one. Love your stack of tea cups--the perfect image to go along.
Fabulous card, love everything about it! CarolG
