Just Us Girls #358 - Photo Week

Just Us Girls has a fabulous photo for your inspiration this week.  Judy found this painting and it has so much to inspire us!

Here's a close-up of the photo.

I chose the colors as my inspiration as well as the butterflies.  I used Brushos as my color medium.  First I embossed the butterflies with Versamark ink and white embossing powder on watercolor paper.  Then I just put some Brusho on the paper and spritzed it with water.  I used a paint brush to move the color around a bit to get the effect I wanted.  I then die cut a banner and stamped the sentiment.  This piece was mounted on fun foam and added to the peach mat.  I added white sequins, of course!  I also rounded the one bottom corner for some interest.

You can see more from the JUGs design team and our August guest, Colleen, on the JUGs blog.  This is Colleen's last week with us as a guest. Thanks to her for being such a great guest!

Thanks for stopping by!

Oh My, this is stunning, I love the movement in your butterflies, and I love how you embossed them, then added the brushos! Brilliant! Pretty pretty card! One minute I'm thinking I want Brushos, then Sharyn says how 'messy' they were so I thought 'no'. Now I see your background and I'm back to wanting them. This is fantastic, Lisa. Those colors blend so well and the movement with the butterflies is amazing.
