Just Us Girls #492 - Color Week

Hey friends!  Just Us Girls has a new Color challenge today, and Carol has chosen a different kind of color challenge.  She wants us to use light, mid, and dark tones of any one color.  Fun!

I thought the easiest way to achieve this was to apply color over an embossed background.  I chose this Gerbera Daisy background and embossed it with white embossing powder.  Then I applied three different yellow distress oxide inks over it.  I think you can see the three different colors.  For the sentiment, I chose this pretty linked chain circle die and die cut it with white cardstock.  Then I die cut a stitched circle from yellow cardstock and stamped the sentiment.  The crystals gave it some sparkle.

You can see more from the JUGs design team and our June guest on the JUGs blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

How beautiful the bright yellow looks here Lisa. Love your gerbera stamp and looks so good in white. Lovely dies and sparkle.

I love your soft, beautiful background with the delicate daisies and the shades of yellow! Beautiful way to frame the sentiment too without covering up that gorgeous background.

The ink resist worked beautifully with that daisy background stamp, Lisa. This is such a bright and sunny card to let someone know you're thinking of them.
