Just Us Girls #516 - Anything Goes!

Hello everyone!  Today is the last day of challenges for Just Us Girls for the year 2019.  We've had 516 challenges since we began in October 2009!  We are taking a December break, as we have been doing for the past few years, to give our designers a break during the holidays. We will be back on January 4, 2020 with challenge #517.

So this week is the fifth week of the month which means it's our Wild Card week.  Vicki chose Anything Goes for this challenge.

A couple of weeks ago, Jennifer McGuire put out a call for a card drive.  You can read about it here.  The cards they were asking for were for families who had pets who were experiencing an illness.  They were supposed to have a dog on it, if possible, and some kind of get well sentiment.  I'm a dog lover, so I had to participate.  I lost my sweet Springer Spaniel Lizzie a year ago yesterday to cancer.  I did receive cards from friends when she passed, but would love to have gotten cards during the time we knew she had cancer.  My Lizzie was liver and white in color, so I colored this dog to look similar to her.  I put her in the middle of these fun flowers and added the sentiment.  I only made five of these because of time constraints, but I also sent about ten Thank You cards that I had on hand that were also requested. The drive runs until December 15, so you still have time to send some cards if you have time.

We hope you and your families have a wonderful holiday.  I'll have a few more cards posting in December for my Time Out challenges.

You can see more from the JUGs design team and our December guest on the JUGs blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is so sweet! I love that adorable little pup surrounded by all of those flowers. The shading is beautiful on all of your coloring. This is perfect for that card drive.

Oh Lisa how touching that you coloured this cute dog in the colours of your Lizzie. She look quite at home among those colourful flowers. Merry Christmas.

This is such a cute card, Lisa, and a great way to ease the pain of owners of a sick pet.
