This week at the Time Out Challenge the challenge is to CASE a card and add your own twist on it. This time around, we are CASEing this fabby card by Donna. Isn't this a lovely card?
So here's my interpretation of Donna's card. I just watched this technique video on Monday by Jennifer McGuire that worked perfectly for my card. I inked up this chicken wire embossing folder with three distress inks, spritzed it with water, put the water color paper inside, and ran it through the Big Shot. This is what you get...very cool! I die cut the diagonal piece and embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder. The butterfly was die cut from white paper that I also embossed with gold powder.
This card was created in the same manner, except that I added the color to the other side of the embossing folder. You get much more intense color. I added a similar banner.
You can see more inspiration on these blogs. We also have a guest with us this week, and that is Marzena.
Thanks for stopping by!

Would you believe I watched the SAME video and have the SAME embossing folder, and tried the SAME technique as you? I love how both versions turned out!
Both versions are great! I have seen the post, but used the technique for over 1,5 years. I have to use it again sometime; the results are so beautiful... Hugs, Gerrina
I love the grungy feel of the background Lisa. This is fabulous!
