Time Out #175 - Quick Card

Hello everyone!  The new Time Out challenge is to make something quick.  It can be a card that you've made quick, time going quickly, kids growing up quickly, etc.  Use your imagination!

We are sponsored by Catherine Pooler Designs for this challenge, and I used many of her products on my card.

I thought I would make a "quick" card, meaning it wouldn't take long to make.  Well, that was a challenge because I had to find a background stamp I wanted, the Catherine Pooler products I wanted to use, and find the darn glitter paper I wanted to use!  I have a bunch of it, but I could not find it even now!  That being said, once the materials were found and decided upon, I believe this card could be make very quickly!  I started with the background.  Watching a Jennifer McGuire video today, I used her technique for it.  I blended three blue distress oxide inks on white cardstock then spritzed a background stamp with water and stamped it on the inked cardstock.  It leaves a soft impression and looks almost velvety.  I then die cut the frame, sentiment, and snowflakes as well as the background and adhered them onto the background.  I wish I could have captured the sparkle from the glitter paper.  It's so pretty!

You can see more from the Time Out design team on the Time Out blog

Thanks for stopping by!

This is beautiful Lisa-that background is so full of Winter frost! I like the way it has an ombre feel and so much movement in the card. I love that glitter card-I have some in white and it is so perfect for Christmas x

This is absolutely gorgeous, Lisa. The background is spectacular. Would you send me the link to the video you used to make it? The white sparkle is so wonderfully wintery on top of the blues. I just love it!
