Just Us Girls #672 - CAS Challenge

Hello friends!  This week's challenge over at Just Us Girls is our CAS challenge.  Sue is hosting this challenge and has chosen 1/3 or less, meaning only 1/3 or less of your card should be used.

I chose this silhouette set from Gina K.  I stamped the image in Versafine onyx black on the bottom of the card.  I wanted some color and thought about (and searched for) the Kaleidoscope ink pad.  Remember those?  I love them!  I stamped the sentiment using this pad and then die cut it with the coordinating die.  I stamped the secondary sentiment above it in black.  I love how simple this card is and how the ink really punched it up.

So this card was the first one I made.  I only thought about the 1/3 or less part of the challenge, not so much the CAS part!  The girls told me to post it, but I don't think it fits the CAS challenge.  So I'm just going to post it anyway as a secondary card.  I just adore these little mice.  I just started cross stitching again last summer.  I did this craft 40 years ago and probably had to put it aside because of work, etc.  I find it so refreshing once again and have several finished pieces and several pieces in the works!  So I had to have this stamp/die set.

You can see more from the JUGs design team and our March guest on the JUGs blog

Lisa, I'm so glad the girls convinced you to post that stitched card! Even though it nudges the 1/3 limit it is just too cute not to share! If all mice stitched instead of snacked, we'd invite them in, wouldn't we?
Your silhouetted tree line is fabulous - and where has that ink pad been hiding? Or have I been living in the dark - with the mice?
Thanks so much for inviting me into your JUGS team this month!

Both cards are fabulous Lisa!!! The silhouette one is so cool with the bright sentiment and the black mat behind the front panel! I'm keeping this black and white with a burst of color in mind for the future!

Your silhouette scene paired with the colourful Friend is so pretty. And your sewing mice: ohmyword! Cuteness, plus! I bought the embroidery hoop dies; need to give them a play soon. Currently stitching with felt. Love it!

Your colorful sentiment really pops against the tree silhouette, Lisa. Such a dramatic card. The mice are darling stitching up some images. I too used to crosstitch eons ago but for me it wasn't relaxing so I gave it up.

I love your colorful sentiment against that black and white silhouette scene! Your second card is absolutely adorable with those little mice and is still very much CAS in my book!

Love your silhouette stamp in black Lisa and what a top idea to use rainbow colours as a highlight.
