Doesn't this teapot remind you of Grandma? It does to me! It has that old-fashioned feel. I got this stamp at a show in Buffalo this summer from the Sweet Impressions booth. I used the Our Creative Corner sketch challenge for this week. I didn't have a button I liked and I didn't add anything where the butterfly is indicated on the sketch. With the flower in the corner instead of the button, it seemed too much so I left it off.
The teapot is colored with copics. (Did I mention that I'm going to be taking the Copic Certification class here in Buffalo this month? I'm really excited about it!) After coloring it, I added Shimmerz paint to the flowers and leaves in pink and celery. The fleur di lis punch is a new one from EK Success that I got at Michael's. It folds flat! Great for storage! The dp is SU's Tea Party and the ribbon is certainly celery grosgrain. Pretty simple card. I love the spring colors!
I have one tip for you. You can see that my ribbon is wrapped around the dp. Since the paper is so thin, it always gave me trouble to tie a ribbon around it. I would always end up with another layer so I'd have cardstock to wrap it around because I'm not a fan of wrapping my ribbon around a card so that it shows on the inside. So what I did was mount the dp on a piece of some thinner cardstock I got at Walmart in a ream. (I can't think of the name of it right now, but I bought it because people love to use it for coloring with copic markers. I'm not a fan of it. I use PTI's stamper's select for that.) So you can't see the layer underneath, but the dp is now sturdy enough to wrap and tie your ribbon around. (Oh, one other thing...as I was putting this together, I noticed my dp has the SU stamp on it in the upper left-hand corner! Ugghh! Doesn't that make you mad?)
Don't forget that this will be my first week on the Copics Colour Challenge Design Team! Make sure you stop by on Wednesday when a new challenge is posted! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

Beautiful! What a pretty image and yes, I hate that SU puts their name in the corner of the paper! Whats up with that?
