Paper Makeup Stamps has a new release coming on July 7th, and this month they are all digital images! Some will be made into rubber, but for now they will only be sold as digital images. There are a lot of advantages to digital images that I'm getting familiar with...sizing and placement just to name a couple. So if you haven't tried them, I suggest you give it a try and see what all the rave is about.
Today we are starting the peeks with the fairies. I have two to share with you. The first is Scout the S'more fairy. I asked Katie to give this one to me to sneak because I am the s'more lady when we go camping or go to our cabin. The kids always know that I'll have them (mostly because I love them! Who can resist that melted marshmallow and chocolate?).
When I started this card, I was trying to find the perfect dp. I remembered I had purchased a long time ago some dp with a camping theme for scrapbooking (when I was in to that craft!). I searched my stash and found it! It was perfect! Can you see the marshmallows roasting over the fire? My fern leaf is covering it a bit, but it's still visible. I pulled the colors from the dp to color Scout with copic markers. I added Liquid Applique to the marshmallow (about 3 times because I kept smudging it...ugghh!) without heat setting it. I wanted it to be smooth, instead of puffed up. I added some Star Dust stickles to Scout and gold and orange Spica glitter pens to his buckles on his shoes and the flame from the marshmallow. Really cute image, don't you think?
Now for sneak #2. This is Jaina fairy with a beachball. The sentiment comes with the image.Isn't she sweet in her tankini? I printed this off on PTI white and again on regular computer paper which then was used as a mask. I cut and placed the mask over the image, then took a post-it note and tore it and placed that on the image. I was then able to stipple in my sand and the sky. I used Sahara Sand and Cool Caribbean. I took a brown copic and dotted the sand for more depth. IShe's colored with copics and there is Crystal Effects on the beachball (a couple of times again because I kept smudging it!). The dp is Basic Grey's Lime Rickey. I created the swirl on the front edge of the card with a Creative Memories decorative cutter. Then I just placed a piece of the blue paper on the inside of the card. The red ribbon finished it off.
There are 3 other fairies being released this month. You should stop by the DT blogs (listed on my sidebar) or on the PMS blog to see what they've created. There are some fabulous creations as usual! I will be back on the 4th of July with another sneak (I may even have one tomorrow if I get it in gear!), so please stop by again.
Remember...the release will be on Tuesday, July 7th. There will be another blog hop that day and release party at the PMS forum in the evening. We hope to see you all there! Thanks for peeking in today!
