My Time Made Easy - A Year in Review - Red, White, and Blue

Happy 4th of July!  I hope you have nice celebrating weather where you are!  I know it's been unbearable in some parts of the United States.  It's been fine here in Western New York, but yesterday was humid and a little rainy.  I'm hoping today will be better.  We are going to a cottage on the beach, so I'm hoping for great weather!
Today the My Time Made Easy design team is posting their Year in Review projects.  Since it's the 4th of July, we are using the red, white, and blue theme.  I was looking at some challenges today and  I loved this one from the {PIN}spirational Challenge.   Isn't this just the cutest scenes?  I used the sailboat on the left as my inspiration.

This is what I came up with.  I used several MTME products (old and new) on this project.  The boat was created using the Bouncing Baby Buggy template.  I cut it out of cardstock printed with Darling Dots digital paper in red.  I added a ribbon and the star, which was cut from the new Magical Birthday Wishes cut file.  It was cut from red cardstock and I added Ritz Glitter in Poppy Orange for sparkle.  The sail is from Seas the Day cut file.  I enlarged it and cut it out twice.  Once from Darling Dots digital paper again that I recolored  in GIMP (to match the sail on the inspiration photo), and again using Bo Bunny's Liberty paper.  I cut them in half and adhered them to another sail that I cut from navy cardstock.  I hot glued the sail to a bamboo skewer and hot glued that to the inside of the boat.  The flag, also from Seas the Day cut file, was cut from Liberty paper too.   I added some filler inside the box.  You could put some firecrackers in there, candy, lotions and potions, etc.  There's lots of room inside!

Here's a card I made the other day for this week's Just Us Girls challenge.  I made the boat to coordinate with the card.  I used the Magical Birthday Wishes cut file for the stars.

The MTME design team has lots to share with you.  Stop by these blogs to see for yourself.

Make sure you stop by the MTME store to see the new products that were released this month!

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a Happy 4th of July!
