Christmas Card Challenge #51 - Color Challenge

This week over at Christmas Card Challenges we have a beautiful color challenge.  These happen to be my favorite Christmas colors to work with!

I decided to do a snowman today and use a die set from PTI that I've never used.  I die cut the snowman and his hat from white cardstock.  His hat has three die cuts:  the main hat, the brim, and the tassel on top.  I stamped the hat in blue, the brim in red and the tassel was covered in Liquid Applique.  While it was wet, I sprinkled some glitter on it then heat it. It becomes fluffy and looks like the top of a ski hat.  I finished him off with his face and buttons then stamped some snow flakes on the bottom of him.  To make him shimmery, I spritzed him with some perfect pearls mist.  I added some twine for his scarf and a small button die cut.  I used some texture paste and a falling snow stencil on the background.  The buttons are also die cuts.

I used the Freshly Made Sketch for my layout.
You can see more on the Christmas Card Challenge blog for more inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by!
