Time Out #78 - It's Our 3rd Birthday!

Hey everyone!  It's Time Out's 3rd Birthday and we are celebrating!
Look at all the sponsors we have for our players for this challenge!  So fun!
The challenge this time is Love and/or Friendship with the optional twist of spotlight stamping.

I'm using a few new products on my card that I'm so excited about.  I just received the new Oxide Distress inks last Saturday and broke them open to make this card almost immediately!  Let me tell you they are fabulous to sponge with!  It's really effortless to get them to blend!  I used six of the twelve inks on this background.  They still work well with water as you can see by my water droplets.  Once that was done, I die cut the skinny hello from that paper and the fat hello from black paper.  I layered them together and covered the black with shimmer.  I embossed the word friend in white powder and finished it off with Nuvo Crystal Drops in three colors.

We have these four companies doing a special blog post for our challenge and some of their DT members are playing along with us.

You can also see more from our Time Out DT and our guest for this challenge, Ardyth, on the Time Out blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

This is one stunning card Lisa, the colours blend so well together and the little droplets are such a cool finishing touch. That black die was the perfect choice for this background. I also live those little dots by the sentiment that reflect the colours you used. I am so happy you have been with us for 3 years-you are an oldie at TO....meant in the best way-I am too, each week your cards inspire us all, I always love how you write your posts too-they are like we are having a chat xx

Absolutely amazing card Lisa! I love your color choices and blending and what a hello-die, WOW! Perfect for the fun, happy look of this card. I'm intrigued by these inks and would want to try them out one day. Great to see they work this well!

That big sentiment die really pops against the colourful background - good to see the oxides in action! Congrats too on reaching the 3 year milestone with TO :)

I just love what you did with the Oxide inks! (mine arrived last week but I haven't had time to play yet...) That die cut is fabulous - and the black card base really makes it pop! Wonderful card!

Your sponged background is so gorgeous. I have not yet checked out those Oxide inks, but I am sure loving how you used them. Great contrast with your bold black die cut sentiment.
