Time Out #96 - CASE Challenge

Hi friends!  The challenge over at the Time Out blog is a CASE challenge.

This is the card by Michele we are CASE-ing.  Love the layout and the way the she die cut the word on that angle.

So here's my take on it.  I used the same layout and design, but stamped this new plaid bg stamp in red and then the lines in black.  I die cut the word (which was a freebie from Concord & 9th) from the panel and three more times from white cardstock and stacked them together.  I mounted the panel onto a black panel and inlaid the word die.  I stamped Christmas on black cardstock and embossed it in white.  I added sequins to finish it off.  Maybe I should have left them off...not sure about them.

You can see more from the Time Out design team and our guest for this challenge, my JUGs teammate Bobby, on the Time Out blog

Thanks for stopping by!

I hadn't yet received my plaid stamp or I might have made the same card, Lisa. It's fabulous in red, black and white, my favorite.

Love this, Lisa! That plaid looks so stylish and trendy, perfect for a fun Christmas card! This layout makes the pattern look very modern. Great job with the hidden die cut sentiment technique too!

Your plaid stamping is so crisp and clean-perfect stamping and love the way you created the sentiment-fab CASE x

I am really loving all my plaid shirts these days, and the plaid on your card is just so luscious. I wish I had a shirt just like it. Love the bold sentiment, too.

Wonderful take on Michele's card. I love the plaid, and the red and black and white color scheme. Great Christmas card.

I love how you used that plaid bg stamp - and paired with that die cut, it has the perfect holiday feel! I love the sequins too - you definitely should have included them - holiday cards can always use some extra sparkle :)
