Hello everyone! It's time for a new Time Out challenge. We are celebrating breast cancer awareness and are sponsored by CAS-ual Fridays.
I've chosen to use the stamp set called Peaceful Garden. I used pink colors to coordinate with the color of breast cancer awareness. I stamped the leaves three times in a lighter pink then stamped the detail part in a darker pink. I added the pink strip of pattern paper and the stamped banner on top. I finished it off with pink heart crystals. There is shimmer on the leaves as well.
On a personal note, we just found out last week that my 85 year old mother-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer. It's in the very early stages and we think she will have some minor surgery to remove the spots and she will not need any further procedures (we are praying for this). The doctor said it's not hereditary and that they see this happen quite often in elderly women. Even at her age, she goes every year for a mammogram and we are so thankful she did. It was caught early and we have a very good cancer hospital here in Buffalo (Roswell Park Cancer Institute) that she is going to. She will be well taken care of.
You can see more from the Time Out design team and our guest for this challenge, Sidan, on the Time Out blog.
Thanks for stopping by!

Oh Lisa, I am so sorry to hear this news about your MIL, but thankful it has been caught early. Goodness this card will cheer her up and please send her our love from TIme Out. I love the CAS design of this and that wonderful patterned paper, used perfectly, hugs xx
Beautiful card. I love your layout, the leaves look great peaking behind the panel! xxx
So, so pretty in all those lovely shades of pink, Lisa ... and what a positive, uplifting sentiment! Do hope your MIL's recovery will be swift and complete ... sharing in your prayers. Hugs, Anita :)
This is wonderful, Lisa. I love your choice of that diagonal striped paper - it goes so wonderfully with the leafy stems and the sentiment banner. I'll keep a good thought for your MIL. Rotten thing for her to have to deal with at this time is her life.
What a pretty, feminine card! I like how you added the layers and the pink leaves peaking out!

I am so sorry to hear about your mother in law. I hope that her journey back to health will be an easy one. Your card is so stunning, and I really love how you stamped your leaves in pink. I never thought to do that, and I think I"ll try it soon.
