Just Us Girls #563 - Color Week

Hi friends!  It's Color Week over at Just Us Girls, and Ina chose navy, green, and purple (she had to sneak in purple, her favorite color!).

I just got this 3-D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp and made a card with the traditional fall colors.  I loved it so much that I thought these challenge colors would look good with it as well.  I started by die cutting a white cardstock panel with a stitched rectangle.  I spritzed it with water to prepare it for the embossing folder and ran it through the die cutting machine.  This embossing folder is so cool!  The dimension is amazing.  Then I used two shades of each color and blended them onto the panel.  I then die cut the sentiment word from white glitter cardstock and twice from plain white cardstock and adhered them together for dimension.  I cut a piece of vellum to wrap around the panel and adhered the word die cut to it.  Crystals finished it off.

You can see more from our JUGs design team and our November guest on the JUGs blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fabulous way to use these colors! I love your awesome blending on that gorgeous background. The vellum strip is perfect to add that sentiment. And I love the bits of bling you have added, as well.

Had to come over and see how you'd made this beautiful card Lisa. It looks wonderful in these colours and finished with the sequins. You are definitely making me want to invest in some more EFs (I currently have two!!) Vicky x

The inking really makes the leaves stand out, Lisa. Putting the sentiment on vellum lets them shine through.
