Happy Saturday everyone! This is a day that the Just Us Girls design team has really been looking forward to! Pam managed to have Gina K. Designs sponsor us! Today Pam has challenged us to, of course, use Gina K. Designs stamps, but also line an envelope with decorative paper. Gina did a fabulous video tutorial on how to accomplish this. You can see it here. Here's what I came up with. 
I used the Buds and Vases set, illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger. I love flowers and terracotta pots, so I had to have this set! And when I was looking for dp to pair with it, I found the perfect one I've been hoarding for just such a card. It's by Sassafrass from the Yummy Vintage collection. I colored the flowers from the set to match the dp. The fun edge on the left is actually part of the paper, so this was definitely an easy card to produce! The decorating was already done for me! And the lining for the envelope was super easy to create with Gina's video tutorial! It gives it such a finished look, don't you think?
The terracotta pot and the flowers are separate stamps. I stamped and cut them out, then I colored them with copic markers. I colored the pot according to Melanie's directions here. She gave perfect instructions. In the middle of each flower, I placed a yellow pearl. The entire pot and flowers were placed onto a pretty nestie. I distressed the inside of the circle with Wild Honey distress ink and the scallops with Tea Dye distress ink. The yellow dp was also distressed with Tea Dye. The corner piece was added last to fill up some blank space that just needed something. I wanted a birthday card for my friend whose birthday is today, but the Buds and Vases set didn't have one. So I used an older set from GKD called Friendship Blooms. 
The sketch is from Card Patterns. I just left off the ribbons going horizontally.

There is a bunch of goodness in the kit! The stamps alone are fantastic! Here's my card using it. 
All the papers in the kit are so fantastic, that I didn't know which to use first! I loved the polka dots in this one and thought it would be a fun backdrop for the card. I stamped the image on white cardstock and colored it with copic markers. (I paper pieced the table cloth because I didn't like the color I used on it!) The kit comes with beads and head pins to make these fun pins. I've never used this before...I hope I did it justice! The glittery flowers are oh so pretty, too! I added stardust glitter on the wings and the Eiffel Tower to make it look like it was lit up! You can't see it in the picture, but it looks fun in person!

I don't say this too often, but I really love this card! I wasn't sure of its outcome while I was working on it, but once I added that velvet ric rac ribbon and flower, I just went "ahhhh!" Did that ever happen to you? I'm sure it did!
I love this mailbox! So quick and easy to color up and put together! I don't know if you can tell, but I gave the mailbox some dimension by cutting out an extra heart and flag and adhering it with some dimensional silicone gel. I added star dust stickles for some sparkle and a few pearls in each corner. The sentiment is part of the set as well. I love this paper from October Afternoon! So pretty and feminine. I love that blossom branch in the 
I was hoping to use vellum cardstock, but couldn't find any in my stash until AFTER I had my project done! I knew I had some, but I had to use regular vellum instead! It's a bit flimsy for anything heavy, but I wasn't putting anything in this one, so it held up just fine. I think if you put a battery operated candle inside (like 
I think my favorite stamp from this set is that lantern. The pattern inside the lantern is another image, so you can leave the lantern blank if you wish, but I just love the look of the flowers/leaves. The Chinese symbols have words beneath them on the stamp, but I chose just to ink up the symbol. I love the way this looks! I added some star dust stickles to the flowers and lantern, which you can't really see. I just used Memento tuxedo black ink and colored the flower/leaves with copic markers on the back side of the vellum. 
I used the vellum technique on the card. I backed it with white cardstock so it stands out more. The pink cardstock is SU's Pink Passion. I don't know when that one was retired, but I have a stack of it because I don't usually use such a bright color! The ribbon is just something from my ribbon drawer that matched perfectly.
