Hi everyone! I'm enjoying my summer because I have some time in the morning to craft! Can't do that when you are working! I'm taking the Summer Card Camp 2 from Online Card Classes and I have a card for yesterday's class. It was all about die cutting techniques. Jennifer McGuire used a pretty and detailed die that she repeatedly embossed. I don't think I've ever done that, so I tried it. And Nichol Magouirk made a card I loved, so I cased it.
They also have a color challenge going on this week over there which is two shades of brown, two shades of purple, and an aqua. I didn't think I'd ever be able to put something together with them, but they gave lots of hints on how to do it. Here's what I came up with. I started with this vintage bicycle die from Memory Box and heat embossed it with copper powder. I think I embossed it 4 times to make it more substantial. Then I headed to my paper stash and pulled these three pattern from three different pads (see the list below). I love that the design on the brown piece was in aqua! I adhered two shades of purple pearls to the bicycle and around the sentiment (stamped in SU's Razzleberry ink) to get the purple in there. I'm very happy with the outcome, more so than the one I did yesterday with these colors!
Thanks for stopping by!
