Just Us Girls #445 - Color Week

Hi friends!  This week over at Just Us Girls, Ina chose a favorite color combo of mine!
I love the boldness of black, red and white.  When I sat down to make this card, there was a piece of yupo paper with alcohol inks that I made for last week's challenge and never used.  It was red, so I was inspired to use it.  I die cut it with a PTI die (some of those pieces didn't want to come out and I had to take a razor knife to get them out!).  Then I die cut some stitched flowers from white cardstock and leaves from black and layered them in the corner.  The black leaves and flower centers have shimmer on them.
You can see more from the JUGs design team and our guest, Hannelie Bester, on the JUGs blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
Stamps:  Brushstroke Expressions (MFT)
Paper:  Recollections white, black, yupo
Ink:  Versafine onyx black, alcohol inks
Accessories:  Bold border flare die (PTI), stitched flower dies (MFT), spectrum noir shimmer, dimensionals

A lovely design, Lisa! The red background is so pretty; perfect for your cluster of striking black-and-white flowers!

Really pretty! The white and black flowers against that cool background are awesome! (Don't you just hate it when the die doesn't cut completely!) You would never know you have to cut some of it - you did a great job on that part too! A real stunner - love it!

Gorgeous background Lisa. Love the white flowers and the black leaves look super here. Frustrating when a die doesn't quite come out and you certainly don't want to rip it.

The frame is so pretty with it's variated tones of red it seems to sparkle all on it's own. Terrific card and enjoy your last week of school...I bet you are smiling from ear to ear.

I think it's great when you can be inspired by a piece of paper just laying on your work surface. The die is beautiful cut from the alcohol paper with all its subtle changes of color. The simple white flowers are perfect with it, Lisa.
