Hello out there! It's Saturday, so that means another challenge from Just Us Girls! This week, Dana is our hostess with the absolute mostess, and she's challenging us to box up a note card set with choose your own sentiments that the receiver can use for various occasions.
So here's what I came up with. I started with this clear pillow box (thanks to my friend Romaine for reminding me that this is a pillow box not a puffy box!) and cut cardstock bases that would fit inside. Then I used Damask Designs from PTI and stamped it in Melon Mambo and Marigold Morning. I cut some die cuts and sponged some Melon Mambo ink around it then stamped the sentiments in Versafine black ink. The sentiments are from Communique Curves sentiments and Damask Designs. I tied the sentiment tags with some baker's twine and filled the box with the cards, the sentiments, and some clear filler. The ribbon was simply tied around the box to keep it all together.
This is what the cards look like when the sentiments are placed on the bottom of the cards.

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a great weekend!

Hellllloooooooo, MRS. LOVELY!!! These ARE truly splendid! Your use of color and STAMPING ... purrrrrr! VoonDAbah! SUCH a wonderful crafty chick, you ARE! Thanks for the TERRIFIC inspiration!!!!!
Great card and love the banner along the bottom! Lovely project :)
Lisa, Pretty pretty! The colours are lovely together-in your PILLOW box, lol! (I can appreciate the loss of words: after a week, I still cannot think of the word for when someone has a special birthday such as a 40th. All I can think of is "banner" but that is not the word....)
You were thinking right outside the box (pillow box that is!!:) when you put those luscious colors onto paper in that beautiful damask design. My mind is blank more times than I'd like to admit and by the comments, you are in goooood company. I wonder if Ms. Romaine's word might be "milestone"; between all of us absent minded gals, we should be able to produce at least on combined good mind, right?!! Please say yes just to humor me!!
This turned out perfectly, Lisa! I love the sizzling colros of your damask stamping on the clean white card base. BRavo!
