Hi everyone! I did a tutorial for Artful INKables today that is posted on the AI blog. I did it on coloring stamps with watercolor crayons. It is my first offical tutorial! I hope you stop by to see it and let me know what you think! My hubby took the pictures, so I hope they are ok! Here's the card I made for the tutorial.I used SU watercolor crayons in Regal Rose and Real Red for the flower part and Green Galore and Handsome Hunter for the leaves and stem. This stamp is perfect for this technique because you need a stamp with a solid image for the crayon to stick to. You need good watercolor paper for this to work, as well. You don't get the same effect if you use regular cardstock.
I cut and embossed the image with my new (to me) labels six dies. I like that the image and the dies have an antique feel to them. This fabulous layout is from yesterday's SCS sketch challenge. I just flipped it. It took me quite a while to come up with this design. I was trying so many different patterns and colors, and ended up with just the pink and brown. I used a cuttlebug corner die for the triangular pieces. I think it added to the antique feel.
I hope you stop by the AI blog to see how to do this technique and then let me know what you think! Thanks!
Recipe
