Copic Creations-Snowpeople

My friend Cheryl Rowley is on the dt for the Copic Creations Challenge blog, and when I saw their challenge today I knew I had to play. The challenge is to color snowmen/snowpeople. I love snowmen...I have several. (And we got our first snowfall today just in time for December. But it's all gone already!) I just purchased two snowman stamps from my LSS, Buffalo Stamps & Stuff (they carry so many fabulous stamps) and had to play! I purchased this stamp for my avid golfer friends, Nancy and Brian. This will be sent to them this year. This image is called Golf Ball Snowman from DRS designs. I didn't do a lot of copic coloring on this one, but I did use a few. You can't really tell, but I shaded the golf balls with a YG0000 marker. I shaded around him with a soft brush first in Wild Wasabi, but it looked too washed out, so I took a chance and went over it with Real Red. It looks a little reddish-brown, but I think it's ok. I also colored his hat and scarf with green and red markers, again difficult to see in the picture. I colored his club with a silver Spica glitter pen, and added star dust stickles to him as well.

I used an older sketch from Jen del Muro, but left off the embellishment over the half circle. I ran that red piece through the cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder, but then attached it backwards so it looks more like a golf ball. We don't golf, so I don't know where these golf balls came from! I found them in a drawer...I knew they would come in handy someday, I guess!

I may do another one for this challenge because I need some Christmas cards and I love the snowmen! We have two weeks to get them done, so why not? Thanks for stopping in today!
