Makeup for the Weekend Challenge - PMS Style!

Happy Sunday! I'm out cutting down my tree this morning and I'm going to put it up when I get home! It's officially Christmas when I have to haul everything out of my walk-in closet to get to the crawl space where my Christmas decorations are. Not my favorite day of the year, let me tell you!

This week's
Makeup for the Weekend Challenge over at the Paper Makeup Stamps blog is a sketch challenge...one of my favorites! Here's the sketch.Very interesting sketch, don't you think? And now here's my interpretation of it.I made this for my aide at school who got a promotion to Teacher Assistant in our reading department. She is a great girl and deserves to be a teacher, but I guess even in the teaching profession jobs are scarce. You have to work your way up the ladder. The inspiration for this card was actually the ribbon. I picked it up at AC Moore with the intention of using it for this card. So I went with the red, vanilla, and brown. I don't know if you can tell, but the vanilla piece was run through a Quick Kutz folder that the owner of my LSS, Sharon, gave me. She's so sweet! The pattern is circles and diamond shapes. I've used it many times and really like this pattern.

I know many of you love sketches, so why don't you pop on over to the
PMS blog and play? You don't have to use PMS stamps, but if you have them (or maybe have some Christmas cash to purchase some), why not use them? They are really great red rubber stamps and come bare or mounted on EZ Mount and are very reasonably priced! There are a lot of great images in the inventory as well! And we are currently in week 10 of our Countdown to Christmas sale! Every week for 12 weeks, PMS has something on sale. This week it's 12% off your TOTAL order, so anything goes. The code to use at checkout is 1212gets12. (Yesterday was 12/12!)

If you play, link your direct post to the
PMS blog and use the code M4TW07 if you post to an online gallery! Have a great day and thanks for stopping in!
