A Handy Man's Gift from My Time Made Easy

***My JUGs post is right after this one, so please scroll down for that!***
Hi everyone! My hubby and I are going to a surprise 30th birthday party tomorrow for one of the boys that grew up across the street from us. His family suggested we get him a gift card from Home Depot because he is rennovating his house. I was trying to think of a clever gift to give and I think I came up with a pretty good one, if I do say so myself. I don't know if you recognize the "bucket" I created, but it's the new template from My Time Made Easy called Berry Sweet Basket. The fun thing about using these templates with a Cricut and the SCAL program is that you can manipulate it any way you want. While in SCAL, I deleted the basket weave cutouts to make the sides solid, then reduced it to 75% (this is a huge basket at 100%). I thought it sort of looked like those buckets from Home Depot. The label on the front is from the Money Well Spent stamp set as is the wrench. I colored the outline of the label with an orange copic marker. The Home Improvement sentiment is from the Sign It stamp set. This is the Handy Man cut file and it's a gift card holder that's shaped like a tool box. The label on the outside is from the Home Improvements cut file and stamped with the coordinating stamp from Sign it and sentiment from Money Well Spent. I added square silver pieces to each corner. This is the inside. I don't have the gift card yet (I'm getting that later today), so I just put a piece of orange cardstock in its place. I used the same label for the sentiment from So Sentimental stamp set. I'm also planning on getting some peanuts to put inside the box. Maybe some chocolate too! Lauren , Katie , and Krisitn are posting also posting today, so make sure you stop by to see what they've done! There are so many ways in which the MTME templates can be used. Endless creativity! Thanks for stopping by! I'll be back tomorrow with a Pretty Palette color challenge from MTME! See you then! Photobucket
