Happy Birthday Elise - Our New Jug-Head!

Today our newest "Jug-Head" is celebrating a birthday....Elise Durenberger! When she joined our Just Us Girls design team, she dubbed all of us "Jug-Heads"! It was so funny! If you've ever visited Elise's blog or had the privilege of having a comment from her, you know she is a hoot! So we are celebrating her first birthday as a "Jug-Head" with a birthday blog hop. All the JUGs girls are hopping along with some other friends of Elise. Here's my birthday card for you, Elise! I was inspired by Kristin's card using these two patterns in different colors. I love yellow and gray, so I used the sand digi paper from the Serenity pack and saffron digi paper from the Darling Dots paper pack. Both are from My Time Made Easy.

The birdcage is from a Paper Makeup Stamps set called Tweet Things. The sentiment is from Tending the Garden from My Time Made Easy. The ribbon is saffron grosgrain from SU. The string is some crochet thread. I did some faux stitching and I don't like the way it came out. I pulled out my sewing machine, but the needle came unthreaded and I have such a terrible time threading it so I faux stitched instead! I added some Star Dust Stickles on the birdcage. The sketch is from this week's Mojo Monday.

You can hop along with us and end up leaving some love for Elise on her blog! Happy Birthday Elise! Thanks for birthday hopping with us!

Ohhhhhhhhhh, my swoon-a-licious GOLDEN goodness - this CARD is OUTSTANDING! I'm singin' right along with that ADORABLE birdy... This card AND YOUR AMAZING TALENT are rockin' me RIGHT out of my chair, sweet crafty girl! I'm BEYOND delighted - BEYOND touched! TOTALLY emotional, but in a truly blessed and happy way..... THIS "second half" isn't NEARLY so scary with SUCH fabulous friends and crafty sistas like my FANTASTIC fellow JUG HEADS! {I think I see the logo - in my mind!} One DAY... somewhere, some way.... I hope, plan and wish that we may allllllll meet up for some SERIOUS crafting, giggling, visiting... SERIOUSLY! Don't know HOW, but MAYBE! Right? I can TOTALLY see it.... down the crafty road a piece! Either way, THIS is one birthday celebration I won't EVER forget! A cyper hug the likes of which cannot be measured! THANK you, soooooooooooo much, for making this absolutely STUNNING creation on my behalf! YOU are such a treasure, LISA {I still have your GORGEOUS Christmas card up in my kitchen - refusing to take it down!} I do feel like the luckiest girl today! THANK YOU, AGAIN, for your "kind"ness! {hee hee} How often do you hear THAT? YOU are a total SWEET heart! Thanks for ROCKIN' my day!

Gorgeous! Love how you colored the birdcage and how fabulous you made the color "yellow" look. :) That's a struggle for me, LOL.

I'm always amazed at how much techie work you do in your crafting Lisa. Digital papers, cut files (all weird and wonderful sounding to someone who safely sticks to the basics!!) This is a beauty. Love the mojo sketch you've worked with and the color scheme. I saw the stitching on the sketch and went back to see if you had added that in. Indeed you had!!! I then read your explanation of how you did it and thought "don't worry, it blends in so beautifully I had to look twice to notice it" Then again, there are so many lovely elements I may have just missed it in all the beautiful detailing. Hugs
