Happy Saturday friends! It's technique week at Just Us Girls. Maria loves her techniques and I'm so glad she challenges us to do them because they are really fun to do! She chose the Baby Wipe technique this week...a very fun and easy one to do! You can find a great tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers here. What you need for this technique is a stamp with lots of surface, so I started my search with my SU stamps. I came up with this older set called Flower filled. I've always loved these boots, too. They remind me of those rubber boots that are so popular now. There are some with funky patterns on them and I loved the look of mine when I stamped them! I took my colors from this paper called Madeline from Prima. I chose cool caribbean, certainly celery, and regal rose SU reinkers to create my "ink pad" on the baby wipe.
The layout of my card was loosely based on the Wednesday Sketch Club sketch from My Favorite Things. I liked the way the sentiment was placed in the sketch. The sentiment is from Everyday Classics by Papertrey Ink (this is one of their yearly free sets).

Oh, I have those boots too, Lisa, and it is raining out today, but very warm!! I am so inspired. I love how your funky pattern turned out and the beautiful inspiration paper. Such an adorable layout and design.

Lisa, WOW!!! How cute are those rubber boots stamped with this technique!!! GORGEOUS!!! What fun, springy colors too! MAGNIFICENT work girl!
Love the rain boots - I want a pair! THey go with my umbrellas. I"ve never actually owned rubber boots but there are days they would be really handy.
Geeze, LOUISE! In all of that BIRTHDAY, hub-bub! I knew I missed something! SOMETHING gorgeous, mind you! Whoops! Sorry to have missed THIS lil' gem! GORGEOUS use of that technique! I was a little sad we didn't get a lot more players for this great idea! It surely wasn't due to the TERRIFIC inspiration! This card makes me want to do ANOTHER! Yipeeeee!
