Just Us Girl #444 - Trend Week

Hey friends!  I had fun playing with alcohol inks for the Just Us Girls trend week challenge.

I started by creating a panel of yupo paper and alcohol inks in butterscotch and terra cotta.  I added the alcohol blending solution to move the color around.  It looked so cool, like marble.  I then die cut it using this hourglass cover plate.  I also die cut it from white paper.  I adhered the alcohol piece to the card base and inlayed the white pieces.  I die cut the sentiment and adhered that in the center.

I was able to create another card with the leftover pieces.  The sentiment was die cut with the leftover pieces as well.

You can see more from the JUGs design team and our guest, Hannelie, on the JUGs blog.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love both of these! It's fun when you get to cards out of one idea! Hope the packing your classroom up is going well! Bet you are smiling from ear to ear!

It's a twofer, and a lovely one at that, Lisa. Those colors are so bright and cheery and perfect for birthday cards.

Lisa, these are awesome! I love your beautiful background using the butterscotch and terra cotta inks. That coverplate die was a perfect choice for that background.
