Time Out Challenge #13 - Inspired by Words

Hi everyone!  Today is a bittersweet day for me...it's my first day back to work.  We have a district day with just teachers.  No kids until September 3, but still it's the end of summer for me!  On the other hand, it's time for a new Time Out challenge.  This week is Inspired by Words which means we give you words to be inspired by.  Sandie chose these:  If music be the food of love, play on.  Beautiful words to live by!

I have lots of stamps with music notes and such on them.  I love music and used to play the piano as a young person.  My husband and I are always playing music on the radio or our CDs.  He loves the Beatles, so I had this Verve stamp set from long ago that has phrases from songs.  This one happens to be from a Beatles tune (that I also loved as a young girl!).  The music notes is from another older stamp set from WPlus9.  It was one of their first released I believe.  I think I received it free when they sponsored our Just Us Girls challenge blog.  Anyway, it's a pretty simple card.  I also snuck in some music washi tape to go along with the theme.

The layout is from Freshly Made Sketches.

You can see more inspiration from the Time Out design team on the Time Out blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

how cool you have the words to the song and so good that your hubby likes the Beatles-I think the black and white is just perfect-like a piano! The touch of washi tape is such a good idea for this sketch x
